LITTLE BEAVER LIONESS CLUB

In 1975 the Lion's Clubs' International Board of Directors voted to recognize these women who had been serving in Lions club auxiliaries all over the world.  Some of the auxiliaries had been in existence serving Lionism for nearly 50 years.  For the first time, these women's groups were united under one name, one banner, one emblem and one constitution.  The Lioness Club Program was launched.  The first club organized under the program was the Mount Pleasant Lioness Club of North Carolina, USA.  It was formed on December 24th, 1975.

"WE SERVE TOO"

THE LIONESS CLUB PROGRAM EVOLVED NATURALLY FROM THE WORK OF WOMEN SUPPORTING THE ACTIVITIES AND
GOALS OF THEIR LOCAL LIONS CLUB.

Little Beaver Lioness Club was chartered December 4, 1984 and are sponsored by Little Beaver Lions Club.  There were twenty three charter members when chartered and today the Club shows a membership of forty five, which includes two of the original charter members.  The reasons for being a part of the club includes: a deep satisfaction that comes from helping others.  Fellowship shared with club members, a chance to full fill one's feeling of responsibility to society and humanity, the opportunity to become a better person and citizen, opportunity to develop leadership skills, to be able to share the communities improvement and growth and pride in being a part of the membership of the world's largest service club organization.

The club currently meets at 6:30 pm the first Tuesday of every month at First Presbyterian Church, 3385 Old Darlington Road, Darlington PA.  The club is always seeking new members who have a desire to serve their communities.  We are a hard working Club that is well known for their dedication to serve those in need.  It is important to stress that although we are hard working we are still have to have fun.
